Sjogrens Syndrome

Sjogrens Syndrome is an auto immune disease were the body's defences attack itself.In this condition the liquid or fluid producing glans are attacked by the body.

Amongst the symptoms are dry eyes, skin and mouth. Also common to the disease is pain of the joints and a feeling of tiredness.

The eyes will often feel itchy burny and gritty.

There is no known cure for this chronic condition and its causes are not fully understood.



Treatment consists mainly of anti-inflammatory medication,and replacement artificial tears .A supplement of omega3 oils and also maintaining an adequate in take of water together with a healthy diet has proven effective in lots of cases.
