Ophthalmic Speculum

Ophthalmic Speculum is a mirror or a polished metal plate that is used as a reflector in the various optical instruments. It is helpful in dilating the opening of the body cavity for medical examination. It may also be described as a tubular instrument which is useful for instrument for inserting into a passage or cavity of the body to facilitate visual inspection or medication. It helps in the interior ophthalmic examination as it helps in leading to dilation or opening up of the cavity or the passage of the eye.
