Apparently the global economic recession is also hitting the laser eye surgery industry,with a reduction in the number of surgical procedures being carried out. Unfortunately this is likely to lead to an increase in the current prices. The prices quoted are per eye, so obviously you need to double the price if you are having both eyes operated on. The price for standard non custom lasik surgery is generally in the region of $2000 per eye. If you are going for more precise custom wavefront lasik then you can expect to pay in the region of $2500 per eye. Many eye surgery providers also offer low interest payment plans to spread the costs. Bear in mind that costs are only one factor in the decision to have lasik eye surgery, and more important than lasik prices are the experience,equipment used and professional reputation of the surgeon who will be performing the surgery.
