ICL Eye Surgery

The technique of ICL eye surgery, does not involve laser eye surgery but involves implanting an intra corneal artificial lens.

These lenses have a large range of power and subsequently can be used in patients with very high presciptions.

A guide to eye prescription ranges correctable with this method

Up to -25.00D (short-sight)

Up to +10.00D (long-sight)

Up to -5.00D CYL (Astigmatism)

The surgery procedure allowing people who otherwise could not have conventional laser eye surgery to still enjoy the option of having improved eyesight without the need for glasses or contact lenses to correct their vision.

The eye surgeon implants an artificial lens permanently by insertion through a small incision into the patients cornea. The lens is clipped to the colored iris inside the eye and positioned directly in front of the pupil. In many cases the lens can be left untouched for the remainder of a persons lifetime.

Recovery from this surgery is usually very quick and once everything has healed (within 2-3 weeks) the the same treatment can be performed on the other remaining eye if necessary.
