Glossary of common eye conditions and laser eye surgery procedures. Explanations of commonly used words to discover a full and simple to understand meaning, in case you are unfamiliar with some of the terms used.
20/20 vision
Astigmatism
Binocular Vision
is the ability to maintain focus on an object using both eyes, to create a single visual image.
Blepharitis
is an eye disease characterized by inflammation of the eyelid margins (it is usually a chronic condition)
Cataract
:is a clouding and subsequent loss of transparency of the crystalline lens inside the eye (it is often corrected by removing the lens and implanting an artificial one)

(or more correctly known as color vision deficiency): is a condition in which certain colors cannot be distinguished, It is often inherited(I suffer with this condition myself, especially playing snooker when I mix the red and brown balls )

is a condition where your eyes make insufficient tear fluid to maintain lubrication, or when your tears evaporate too quickly.
