Light enters first through the clear part at the front the cornea (which acts like a camera lens), here the light is bent and then further bent as it travels through the lens and other parts to be collected (as like on a camera film )at the retina at the back .
The light on the retina is then converted to electrical signals which are passed to the human brain. The brain then converts these signals to an image- amazing!
If there are
refractive errors
the light is bent so that it does not give a sharp retinal image and the vison will be blurred.
Refractive errors can be discovered by a routine
eye test.
