Eye Health Problem
An eye health problem primarily refers to the ill-health of the eye which may be manifested in the form of different eye conditions or eye diseases. These may include Glaucoma, Cataract, Macular Degeneration etc.
Macular degeneration may be characterized by the accumulation of yellow deposits in the central portion of the retina of the eye. The condition at an advanced stage can lead to a profound loss of the vision.
One of the other common acute eye diseases is Glaucoma. In this disease, the optic nerve of an individual gets damaged and this leads to vision loss. A device called nerve fiber analyzer is capable of diagnosing Glaucoma at an early stage and once diagnosed, it can be well managed. Cataract is characterized by the appearance of cloudiness on the lens of the eye and thus may lead to impairment of vision. Sometimes the Cataracts become very thick and large in size and they can be only removed with the help of surgery.
