Computer Eye Strain

Computer eye strain can cause many problems.

These include sore irritated eye, headaches and blurred vision.

To eliminate these problems you should do the following:

Have a thorough eye examination, emphasizing that you are concerned about your eyes and computer use.See more aboutComputer Eyeglasses

Wear any necessay prescribed optical correction.

Ensure your seat position is comfortable and the screen ideally placed at a slightly elevated position.

Blink frequently, as staring at a screen you tend to blink less than normal causing the eyes to dry out and become irritated.

Eliminate external glare sources, at the same time having good background lighting.

Adjust contrast and charachter size on the screen.

If you follow all these points you should go along way towards eliminating any computer related eye problems.

Especially if you follow this last one:Do not spend more than 20 mins at any one time focussing just on the screen, but spend some time staring into the distance...a bit of day dreaming maybe:)!
