Bilberry Extract for Eyesight.

The use of Bilberry extract for eyesight problems is a widely debated subject, with many scientists claiming that it has little to no effect, while others have praised it for improving the micro circulation, and thus potentially the health, of the blood vessels inside the eye.

There is little scientific evidence to prove the healing properties of the extract; however some studies have shown that it can potentially prevent the development of cataracts.

Bilberry has been used for nearly a whole millennium to treat various ailments, but has only recently been linked with improvements in eyesight. An extract of this fruit will contain concentrated flavonoids which will have a powerful anti-oxidation effect. This will allow the restoration of blood flow through the capillaries which are vital to the health of the eye.

Various eye problems have been treated with Bilberry extract, the most notable being glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. These treatments have had varying degrees of success, and it still remains to be seen whether the success rate is credible.

40 people suffering from a deterioration of the retina were given the extract in daily doses over the course of one month. The study found that up to 90% of the patients experienced significant improvements in their eyesight during this time, clearly showing that Bilberry can be an extremely effective treatment.
