Betaxolol Ophthalmic
Betaxolol Ophthalmic is a beta-blocker which primarily acts by reducing the pressure inside the eyes.
Therefore, it can be successfully used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of the high pressure inside the eyes. One should avoid the use to this drug in case of allergies with the drug. The drug should also be avoided in cases of asthma, COPD, slow heartbeats and heart condition which is called as ‘AV Block’. Other eye medications should be used along with Betaxolol only is the doctor has prescribed the concomitant use of the two eye medications. AT times, Betaxolol may cause blurred vision. Therefore, one should be careful to drive and the contact lens use should also be avoided with the medication.
