Dominic, retired optometrist and editor of the Laser Eye Surgery Review website. The website aims to provide a comprehensive yet simple to understand guide to lasik and other forms of laser eye surgery. Its editor Dominic based in sunny Belfast in Northern Ireland, is a retired optometrist with more than 25 years professional eye care experience. Before recently retiring from private practice he had noticed an increasing demand from patients about the option of laser surgery to correct their vision. In December 2008 with more time on his hands he decided to construct a website for the general public. The aim was to provide a one stop completely independent information base about surgery to correct vision. Through his own extensive knowledge and with contributions from other eyecare professionals the Laser Eye Surgery Review was born. In addition to providing information about vision correction surgery the website also contains a wealth of information about eye conditions, vision care, eyewear and a comprehensive/global lasik and optician directory. Incidentally Dominic's wife herself had refractive eye surgery in 1997 without a laser (using a scalpel instead ) whilst she was resident in Mexico and you can find more on this story
