3D Glasses
How the familiar 3D glasses with red and blue lenses work.
We see depth in our world because each of our eyes see an object at slightly different angles. This enables us to decide whether an object is close to us and reduced in size, or is far away and large. To create the illusion of depth from flat two dimensional images like cinema movies we have to provide our eyes with different versions of the same picture.
This is normally obtained through the wearing of glasses with red and blue filters for each eye.The blue lens filters out blue images and only shows red ones and the red filter does the opposite.Hence our 2D picture is provided in two different versions for each eye, giving us the 3D effect.
